What you will learn

Are you an employer within construction or the utilities industry who is looking to upskill their existing staff/plant operatives with new additional plant tickets to be able to fulfil contracts and or projects?

This Plant Training Skills Bootcamp will enable you to upskill labourers or existing plant operators with relevant NPORS or CPCS plant tickets to allow staff to either assume a new job role; or to enhance their current role with more responsibilities.

The Plant Training Skills Bootcamp allows large employers to benefit from a 70% discount of the cost of training and small employers to benefit from a 90% discount of the cost of training; as part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs. The programme is flexible, allowing employers to nominate the plant training that is needed within their business; creating a fit for purpose training programme.  The Plant Training Bootcamp is a cost effective and time efficient way to maximise your business opportunities and retain your workforce.

Plant Machine Training Available

Ride on Roller, Forward Tipping Dumper, 360 Excavator, Telescopic Handler.

Number of Plant Tickets

Each employee will receive training on two pieces of plant (Ticket 1: Ride on Roller or Forward Tipping Dumper, Ticket 2: 360 Excavator or Telescopic Handler) and this will be determined directly with the employer during a training consultation in November 2022.

NPORS / CPCS

Additional Elements

Each participant will be required to complete a mandatory three days training (bespoke to each employer); i.e. H&S training, Mental Health & Wellbeing, management training, digital skills,  SSSTS full course / refresher, CSCS Refreshers.

Duration

Within a 16 week period between January 2023 and 31st March 2023.  Participants will be required to complete block training on agreed dates i.e. 3 day training block or 5 day training block dependant on their nominated plant followed by the test.

30% contribution £1,147.89 per person.

Cost for SME Employers (With 249 Staff or Less)
10% contribution of £382.63 per person.

Employer Commitment

Employer commitment for learner to complete all training elements Evidence from employer to confirm that the training provided via the Skills Bootcamp has resulted in either a new job role or an enhanced role for the employee that now utilises their new skills gained via this Skills Bootcamp.
